...The movie "The Pursuit of Happiness" is a great example of confidence and it shows that confidence can conquer all of your problems. This media source reflects back to quotation one by Joe Paterno. Through the movie a man by the name of Chris Gardener and his families income depend heavily on the sales of bone density scanners.The scanners aren't as easy to sell as you may think and as Gardener tries to figure out how to sell the scanners his wife leaves him ,he loses his house and bank account. While living on the street with his son Gardener takes on the job of a stockbroker. Before he gets the job he must go through months of training and sell his bone scanners all while living on the street.Gardener eventually gets the job and becomes very successful in his field. This movie is a great example of confidence. It shows that when you come across obstacles in your life having confidence in your abilities like Chris Gardener, shows that success will find you as explain in my quotation above. As seen in the excerpt above, Gardener is confident in his smarts to solve the Rubik's cub and by doing so it allows him to get his foot in the door for the position of the stockbroker. Another person introduced in my tapestry that shares these qualities with Gardener is Leo Messi. Both Gardener and Messi share big obstacles in there life,(Gardener dealing with finding a steady job to pull his family off the street and Messi with his growth disease) but they overcame these obstacles with confidence and now are very successful in there feild. As shown in my poetry, "Confidence is the key to unlocking everything" (Zimmer 1) I think Gardener is a great example of this because even though he has no home and no wife, he never lost sit of whats important and most of all never doubted his confidence in his abilities as a stockbroker.By doing this Gardener was able to pull himself out of the streets and into a good home for his son. That has made all the difference...
