Early in my career I was accused of being overconfident and even cocky, but I really was confident that I had done the training and didn't see any other reason to say otherwise.

-This quote gives a excellent example of someone being overconfident. It states that working hard and pushing yourself can give you the opportunity to think very highly of yourself. As I said in my introducing, there is a fine line between being confident and being overconfident. The difference is how you show your confidence and in the case of Alberto who who has been told mant times hes the best and acheives high level of success, he cant help but traveling down the path of overconfidenceWhere as showing your confidence out on the field or at school rather then listening to that voice inside your head leads other to believe your a strong, confidence individual
Alberto Salazar is a American Marathon runner from Cuba. He ran track in high school and is known for beating a world record. I believe Alberto released this comment when he retired from racing and moved on to be a sideline coach.
This quote is significant to my theme of confidence because it explains that the way you show your confidence leads to the way others seeing you . This quote explains that if you talk highly of yourself and state your the best people are going to believe your overconfident, where as if you show your confidence rather then talking about confidence people will gain more respect for you and see you as a confidence individual.
